Amazing

“It’s Amazing What a Prayer Can Do.” This is a line from one of my favorite songs and a truth I have witnessed over and over again. Another lyric from a different song says, “When I can see no way, He makes a way.” These thoughts reflect my heart full of praise for a recent situation…

I had a minor surgery a couple weeks ago. Based on the imaging done beforehand and how the procedure actually went, the doctor was concerned about test results and what he termed, “next steps.” But this doctor took the time to pray with me before he began, and I know my family, church family, and others were praying, as well.

We were expecting to hear test results in a few days, but the pathology report was posted the very next day, and the doctor called the same day to say that all is well. Needless to say, there was a lot of rejoicing over the good news, which can only be credited to the merciful hand of the Lord and His power over everything!

In conclusion, here’s a “bonus” verse of the first song mentioned. I started singing this just a little while before we found out Little Bit was on the way. Her existence is yet another example of the power of prayer and the fact that God’s ways are so much higher than ours!!
