Sight

Little Bit had pink eye last week, and I have it right now. I noticed mine early, since I was expecting it; so it’s not too bothersome, but still affects my sight a bit. This morning, one eye was “glued” shut, and I have to wear my glasses instead of my contacts for a few days. I can see just fine, but my vision is not as strong as normal.

Given those circumstances, I thought it was awesome that the verse of the day on my phone this morning was:

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

II Corinthians 5:7

Some definitions of the word sight are:

  • external or outward appearance
  • a person’s view or consideration
  • a thing that can be seen

Spiritually speaking, my vision is limited. I cannot see into the future or know what I am going to need later. I can’t see all the circumstances surrounding me or into the hearts of other people. I can’t see how all the decisions of today will play out tomorrow and beyond.

But God can!

When I have faith in Him, I am trusting the One who can see everything clearly.
