This post kind of goes along with the last one, “Read the Manual,” so if you haven’t read that one, be sure to!
I don’t know how many times since I’ve been a mama, I’ve said something to the effect of, “Where are the instructions?” or “This child didn’t come with instructions!” I really am that person who likes to know what to expect and how to fix problems when they arise. I know that all the answers I need are in the Bible, but I have jokingly wished a few times for more specific instructions, such as how to get a kid to wash her hair without screaming or how to deal with the potty-training fun. I know that sounds really silly, but with all the crazy information out there to cloud my judgment , sometimes it’s hard to discern the best way to handle a situation.
But this is where the verse for this post comes in (James 1:5). All I have to do is honestly ask for the Lord’s wisdom in any given situation. When I earnestly pray and listen for the guidance of the Holy Ghost, everything goes a lot better than when I try to reason it out by myself or only with the “help” of google. A lot of times, I just need to be still and let the Lord show me what my little girl needs.
I know this is a short post, but that’s all I need to say today. Maybe later I will get to share some specific examples!
When the Lord guides you about potty training, write a book! My grandson is 2-1/2 and they still can’t get him potty trained…lol

Tell them not to stress! Our girl is two months away from being three, and we’re just now getting there. The struggle is real 😂
