For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
II Corinthians 5:1
I am thankful for home, especially on the days when we have to go places. It’s such a blessing to have a place to return to where we feel comfortable and safe, and where we have everything we need. Home is the place that is familiar, where sweet memories are made, and where you can totally be yourself.
I love that our church feels like home, too. It’s our safe little refuge from the world, where we can gather with our family and worship in Spirit and in Truth.
And I am beyond grateful to have a heavenly home to go to when this life is over. I imagine what it will be like to have no troubles, sorrows, fears, or sadness; what it will be like to see my Savior face to face and thank Him in person; what it will be like to be reunited with brothers and sisters who have gone on…and I feel homesick.
