He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Psalm 91:1-4
I am thankful for snuggles and hugs and kisses. Little Bit is in a really affectionate stage (when she’s not having a three-year-old meltdown) and is so sweet sometimes I can hardly stand it! Like today, we were at the piano and she just kept kissing my arm because I was playing fun songs for her. She’s all the time running up for a bear hug. And tonight she fell asleep holding onto my arm. It makes my heart full to be a source of comfort for her and part of me wants to keep her this little forever, so she won’t get too cool to love on mama!
I am also grateful to have a source of comfort that goes beyond anything I can ever be for our girl. There is nothing like knowing I am safe in the arms of the Lord and that He will never change.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
